Hello!  Welcome to my special interests page which I will be adding to soon!  Among topics of special interest are the items listed below!  I look forward to sharing my personal experience and knowledge about the benefits of music education; the joy and care of backyard chickens; facts about kidney failure, donation and transplantation; and what you need to know about foster care and adoption!

• Music Education – My degrees are in music education and church music and I have taught for years.  The picture below is of my homeschool choir that I founded and have directed for the past 3 years.

• Backyard Chickens I desperately want a farm, but for now we are in town and have several backyard hens.  They are so much fun and we enjoy the fresh eggs!

• Kidney Donation and Transplants I was shocked to find out a few years ago that I had almost complete kidney failure!  I was on dialysis and then – Praise God – received a kidney transplant.  I have learned so much about this topic that I want to share!

 

• Foster Care and Adoption We have two precious girls whom we adopted through foster care.  It was an amazing experience that still brings tears to my eyes when I talk about it.  You will want to hear this amazing story.

 

SO…that’s what the special interests page is all about!  I can’t wait to share these things with you.  Who knows what the future holds?  Perhaps chicken raising, organ donation, foster care or music lessons are in YOUR future!
